CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office will hold its 14th Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony this Friday, May 15, at 1 p.m., honoring Idaho officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Sheriff Kieran Donahue will host the event at The Center at the Canyon County Fair.
Ceremony Details
The ceremony will feature remarks from Idaho Lt. Gov. Scott Bedke, Sen. Jim Guthrie, R-McCammon, Idaho State Police Maj. Jens Pattis, and Idaho Chief Deputy Attorney General Phil Skinner. The event will close with the reading of the names of all 77 Idaho law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.
Honoring Idaho’s Fallen Officers
The annual memorial serves as one of Canyon County’s most solemn public safety traditions, bringing together elected officials, law enforcement agencies, and community members to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice serving Idaho residents. Canyon County has honored fallen officers at this ceremony for more than a decade, with the event growing each year in participation and visibility across the Treasure Valley.
The Canyon County Fair’s Center venue provides space for law enforcement families, colleagues, and the public to gather and remember the men and women whose names will be read aloud during the conclusion of the program.
