Habit Burger Announces Third Treasure Valley Location, This Time in Eagle

Downtown Boise, Idaho

A California-born fast-casual burger chain is expanding its footprint in the Treasure Valley, with a new Eagle, Idaho location set to open in spring 2027. Habit Burger & Grill, known for its signature Charburgers and already operating more than 370 restaurants across the United States, will occupy a former KeyBank building at 3314 E Chinden Blvd in Eagle.

Background on Habit Burger’s Treasure Valley Growth

The Eagle restaurant will be the third Habit Burger location in the Treasure Valley. The chain already operates locations in Nampa and Meridian, giving it solid coverage across the region’s growing population centers. Founded in California, Habit Burger has steadily expanded into the Mountain West as fast-casual dining continues to attract customers looking for quality food with a quick-service experience.

The new Eagle outpost is being facilitated through Alturas, a local commercial real estate firm. Michael Bick, Director of Asset Management at Alturas, played a central role in securing the deal. Bick has personal roots in the region — he grew up in Southern California, relocated to Boise in 2018 for school, and stayed on with Alturas after completing an internship and graduating. His team connected with the Habit Burger franchise through leasing broker relationships at Eagle Marketplace.

Details of the New Eagle Location

The new restaurant will take over the former KeyBank building on E Chinden Blvd, a busy commercial corridor in Eagle. The layout will feature both a drive-through lane and traditional dining room seating, with parking available on the side and rear of the building — a practical setup for high-traffic suburban retail areas.

Bick noted that while the Eagle and Meridian locations are geographically close to each other, the surrounding communities serve somewhat different customer bases. “I feel like demographically, it’s split a little bit, just from a traffic perspective,” he said, pointing to differences in commuter patterns and neighborhood traffic flows that justify both locations.

No specific opening date has been announced beyond the spring 2027 target window.

Impact on Canyon County and the Broader Treasure Valley

For Canyon County residents, the existing Nampa location already brings Habit Burger within reach, but the Eagle expansion signals continued investor confidence in Treasure Valley’s economic vitality. Commercial real estate activity along corridors like Chinden Boulevard reflects the broader growth pressures the region has experienced over the past several years, as businesses follow rooftops and population expansion westward from Ada County into Canyon County.

Retail and restaurant growth translates into local jobs, added sales tax revenue, and more dining options for families across the valley. The fast-casual segment in particular has proven resilient, offering consumers a middle ground between quick-service fast food and sit-down restaurants — a format that tends to perform well in family-oriented suburban markets like those throughout the Treasure Valley.

The Nampa Habit Burger location has been part of a broader trend of national chains recognizing Canyon County’s population growth potential. That same momentum has drawn other brands to the area — Dutch Bros Coffee recently opened a new Nampa location marking 20 years of the chain’s presence in Canyon County, another sign that both regional and national businesses see long-term opportunity here.

What Comes Next

With a spring 2027 target, the Eagle Habit Burger location is still roughly a year out from opening its doors. Alturas and the franchise operators will continue working through permitting, buildout, and staffing in the months ahead. Customers interested in the chain’s existing menu and locations can visit the Nampa or Meridian restaurants in the meantime.
