A Sunday morning collision on Interstate 84 in Nampa temporarily closed westbound traffic lanes for over an hour as emergency crews responded to an injury crash involving a passenger vehicle and a commercial truck.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:48 a.m. at the westbound off-ramp near the Karcher Road exit, according to Idaho State Police.

Investigators report that a Mazda 5 traveling westbound on I-84 struck a Volvo truck-tractor pulling a Great Dane trailer. The circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation by Idaho State Police.
The driver of the Mazda, identified as a 23-year-old man from Ontario, sustained injuries in the crash and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries has not been disclosed.
The truck driver, a 54-year-old man from Beaverton, Oregon, was not injured and did not require medical transport. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to ISP.
