Idaho Transportation Department Restarts Nampa SH-45 Culvert Repairs Monday

Meta description: Idaho Transportation Department will resume Elijah Drain culvert repairs on State Highway 45 in Nampa, with overnight lane reductions Nov. 10-12.

The Idaho Transportation Department is restarting repairs to the deteriorating Elijah Drain culvert beneath State Highway 45, also known as 12th Avenue, near West Dewey Avenue in Nampa. The work had been paused after crews encountered underground utilities that were not located as project plans indicated.

Nampa SH-45 utility work scheduled overnight

Crews will locate underground utilities overnight from Nov. 10 through Nov. 12. During that work, traffic on SH-45 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning.

Elijah Drain repairs keep SH-45 open

State Highway 45 will remain open during construction, and access to local businesses will be maintained. The project required changes because of the unexpected utility conditions beneath the roadway.

The Idaho Transportation Department expects the Nampa culvert repair work to be finished next spring. Drivers are asked to reduce speed, watch for construction crews and obey posted traffic signs. Current road and traffic conditions are available through Idaho’s 511 service.
